Description

This project for Cookstown Borough Council involved the provision of a totally new indoor training hall with 8 no. changing rooms to compliment the external grass and artificial sports pitches being provided.

The sports complex is serviced from a remote energy centre incorporating boiler plant with domestic hot water storage and NIE switchroom.

Extensive car parking facilities where also provided with a comprehensive site wide lighting installation incorporating floodlighting to a number of pitches.

Full mechanical services to the sports complex were provided which included LPHW to radiators throughout with individual extract ventilation for each changing area and a mains fed domestic plumbing installation.

The heating plant comprised 2 no. oil fired cast iron sectional boilers fed through a modulated heating circuit and a plate heat exchanger with a buffer vessel providing the domestic hot water.

All areas were fitted out with sanitary ware and thermostatically controlled group mixers to the shower rooms.

The electrical services included main switchboard installation, all general and secondary lighting installation including all cabling and floodlighting installations. Pitch lighting installations including columns, luminaries, control cabinets, holding down bolts, brackets. Counterbalance unit for the Pitch lighting installation. General power, CCTV coverage and fire alarm installation was also included within this project.
