Audi Showroom

Project Value – £8 million

Completed – January 2007

Description

These three projects began as one design and build contract for the joint site of the Isaac Agnew showrooms for Audi and Mercedes in Portadown. The brief for this project was to provide each showroom with a two-storey building containing the showroom itself, Customer Services and waiting areas in an open plan style on the ground floor and administration offices, meeting rooms, a canteen and staff facilities on the first floor. A workshop and a valet/wash bay for use by both car manufacturers were included. Use of space was a key factor in planning the layout, and the subsequent Engineering Services, of the showrooms ensuring a customer-friendly appearance.

As the Engineering Services specialists within the Project Management Team for both the Boucher Road, Belfast sites, we were tasked to create a detailed specification, providing a working solution for the spacially tight sites, ensuring all mechanical and electrical services were kept to a minimum in terms of land use and intrusion on the aesthetics of the showroom. Use of existing buildings and services were to be utilised wherever possible while modernising and upgrading the overall ambience of the customer areas in particular to meet and exceed the expectations of Isaac Agnew and their prospective customers.
