Narnia Log Cabin for Childrens Cancer Fund Northern Ireland

Project Value – £500,000

Completed – November 2005

Description

Narnia is the only Log cabin of its kind in the UK. The brief was to design and build a new two-storey respite centre that was energy efficient, sustainable and cost effective. Renewable energies and sustainable construction were of paramount importance to the NI Cancer Fund. An innovative and environmentally conscious approach was necessary for all designers to ensure the finished timber building remained a place of respite in a holiday-home environment that was suitable for the provision of medical after-care for children.
